Sunset Summer Boardwalk
The distant sounds of a boardwalk carnival fill the air from the relaxing, sun-drenched beach. Recline on the warm shores as seagulls and cranes pass overhead, an iced coffee in hand. The day is nearly at its end, with the vibrant summer sunset casting long stripes of purple shadow across the fluffy, but slightly damp yellow sand. After a day of roller coasters, carnival games and prizes, taking in the sight of the boardwalk from a lounge chair on the beach is a welcome rest. The boardwalk lights begin to flicker and whir merrily to life, although the sun still hangs orange in the sky. The familiar aromas of fried carnival foods, cotton candy, taffy, and popcorn waft strongly along the salted ocean breeze. The fading sunlight twinkles and dances on the tips of the waves before crashing into curls of delicate sea-foam along the shore.
